MGH's Donor Wall honours Individuals, Corporations and Foundations whose cumulative lifetime giving has reached $10,000 or more. Their Donor Wall is a lasting testament to our Donors' loyalty and generosity.

Donor Wall is located in the Yvonne and Sydney R. McMorran Lobby (Coxwell Entrance) of the Hospital.

Members of our Founders' Circle represent a group of dedicated and distinguished donors. The Founders' Circle pays tribute to donors who have contributed between $1,000 and $9,999 per year.

Founders' Circle Scroll is displayed outside the main Foundation office.

In recognition of our generous support Brandscout Group was invited by Micheal Garron Hospital Foundation to attend the event "Donor Recognition Wall & Founders' Circle Scroll Unveiling" on May 30th, 2018.

Collaborative Practice Toronto’s networking event, “CPT Art Bash 2018”,  has  taken  place  on Wednesday, May 9 in Toronto.

The intent of the Art Bash event is threefold:

  • To raise awareness about Collaborative Practice Toronto (‘CPT’) and the family law Collaborative Process  (CP -the  preferred  process  in  my  practice);  a gentle,  child-focused  and  out  of  court settlement  resolution process for families transitioning through separation and divorce. CP supports the family by using lawyers and when appropriate, family and financial professionals who work  together as a team  with the separating spouses to develop a resolution that is tailor-made to the needs of each family. Through CP, the goal is to create new and well-functioning post-separation relationships

  • Event showcases Art Battle Canada’s upcoming artistic talents. Guests observe  while six incredible artists create beautiful works of art during the event. Afterwards, this original artwork will be auctioned off (along with many other high-end items such as fine wines and sports/entertainment tickets at our silent auction)

  • Proceeds  from  the  event  generally  go to SickKids and in  particular,  the Medical Psychiatry Alliance of which SickKids is a member. Children suffering from co-occurring physical and mental illness can fall between the cracks in our health care system. Families  with  members suffering in these circumstances   need comprehensive, coordinated care. SickKids, working together with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Trillium Health Partners and University of Toronto have created the Medical  Psychiatry  Alliance  to  address  this  challenge. This  holistic approach to co-occurring physical and mental illness mirrors the ‘team’ approach used in Collaborative Practice to resolve the issues arising in transitioning families. SickKids (and the Medical Psychiatry Alliance) is therefore a natural recipient of the funds to be raised at CPT’s Art Bash 2018

Michael Garron Hospital (MGH), formerly Toronto East General Hospital (TEGH), is a community teaching hospital located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Annually, the Michael Garron Hospital provides care for nearly 20,000 inpatients, has more than 60,000 emergency visits, 215,000 outpatient visits and delivers nearly 3,500 babies. MGH has 339 beds in acute care, 13 beds for rehabilitation, 40 beds in mental health, 75 beds in complex continuing care and six child and adolescent mental health beds. The hospital has over 2,600 employees and 400 physicians and midwives on staff. It provides an extensive range of ambulatory (outpatient), inpatient and community-based programs and services.

Accreditation Canada awarded the hospital "Full Accreditation with no recommendations" immediately following its June 2009 survey. Those results placed MGH in the top five per cent of hospitals.

As a community teaching hospital, MGH is affiliated with the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, the University of Toronto Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing and other educational institutions.

MGH is a designated Pediatric Centre for south-east Toronto for maternal, newborn and pediatric care and a partner hospital in the Child Health Network of the Greater Toronto area. MGH's Emergency Pediatric area has been formally affiliated with The Hospital for Sick Children since 2004. The child-centric ER opened its doors in 2010 to provide a quiet area, separate from the rest of the ER, with private, glass doored treatment rooms with toys and TVs. The staff in this area are all specially trained in pediatrics. This is the only ER of its kind in Toronto (other than Sick Kids). Funding for this new facility has been, and continues to be, provided - in part - by the public.
